Kerry Chicoine

GUITAR

Kerry Chicoine has been playing and writing music since early childhood (the
womb, actually; he retains vague memories of banging his mom’s ovaries
against her fallopian tubes, establishing counter-rhythmic patterns against
her heartbeat). Kerry went on to play drums, bass, guitar and keyboards in various LA-area bands, and began recording his own compositions under the name "kOMpOsT". Inspired by such progressive artists as Mike Keneally and Todd Rundgren, Kerry states "My goal is to confuse the average musiclistener, and to inspire other musicians."

In addition to the Abe Lincoln Story, Kerry plays guitar and keyboards in Nipper and the Seaturtles featuring Nipper Seaturtle (aka Gwynne Kahn, formerly of The Negro Problem, Bean, and the Pandoras, among others).

Kerry also played bass and co-founded LA pop band Receiver (www.receiveronline.com), who released a critically-lauded album "Inspiration Overload" on NotLame
